Privacy policy

What we collect

Information you give us: your name, phone number, email and, if you ask for a quote, details about your business (business name, trade, state, coverages you need, number of employees, payroll, sales, years in business and EIN). For commercial auto, we also ask for vehicle VINs and each driver's name, license number and license state. Plus anything you tell us in a message, call or chat.

Information from Meta forms: if you fill out a form in one of our Facebook or Instagram ads (Lead Ads), Meta sends us what you entered, such as your name, phone, email and answers about your business.

Information from other sources to quote: with your permission or as the law allows, we or the insurance companies may pull driving records (MVRs), loss runs, prior policy information or other reports a carrier needs to price your coverage.

Basic technical data: like any website, our hosting provider logs data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to keep the site running and protect it from abuse.

How we use it

To prepare and send you quotes, help you buy and renew policies, issue certificates, service your account and help with claims.

To contact you about your request or policy by phone, text, WhatsApp or email.

To comply with the law and insurance regulators, and to prevent fraud.

From time to time, we send texts or emails about promotions, news or insurance products you may be interested in. We only do this if you've given us your consent first. Consent isn't a condition of buying insurance, and you can withdraw it at any time (see the next section).

Calls, texts and WhatsApp

By submitting a form (on our website or in a Meta ad), you agree that we may contact you by phone, text, WhatsApp or email about your quote and policy, at the number and email you gave us. Consent isn't a condition of buying insurance.

Promotional messages: we only send them if you've given us your prior consent for them. Consent isn't a condition of buying insurance.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

To stop texts, reply STOP at any time; for help by text, reply HELP. To stop promotional emails, use the unsubscribe link or reply to the email and ask us. On WhatsApp, tell us you don't want more messages or block the chat. You can also call or email us. We'll honor your request even if you make it another reasonable way.

We don't share phone numbers or text messaging consent with third parties for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information or share it with others for their advertising.

Insurance companies, wholesalers and MGAs: we send them what they need to quote, issue and service your policy. They have their own privacy policies.

Premium finance companies: if you choose to pay your policy in installments, we share what the finance company needs to set up and manage that financing.

Agency systems and portals: we store and process your information in our agency management system, carrier and wholesaler portals, and our accounting system, to quote, issue, finance and service your policy.

Service providers that help us run the business, only to provide their services to us: website hosting (Vercel), our customer management system and its database (Supabase, with servers in the U.S.), internal team messaging (Slack), calls and texts (Quo, formerly OpenPhone), WhatsApp and ad lead forms (Meta), and email.

Government authorities: when the law requires it, for example insurance regulators such as the Texas Department of Insurance, or in response to a court order.

If the agency is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner, who must honor this policy.

How we protect it

We use providers with industry-standard security measures, our website uses a secure connection (HTTPS), and only staff who need your information to serve you can access it.

No system is 100% secure, but if an incident affects your information, we'll notify you as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while we have a relationship with you, and afterward for as long as insurance laws and rules require us to keep records. When it's no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

If you asked for a quote and didn't buy, you can ask us to delete your information at any time, except what the law requires us to keep.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the information we have about you, correct it if it's wrong, or delete it (except what the law requires us to keep).

You can opt out of promotional messages at any time: reply STOP to a text, or use the unsubscribe link in an email (or reply to it).

To make any of these requests, email or call us (details below). We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We won't treat you differently for using your rights.

Cookies

Our website doesn't currently use advertising or analytics cookies or third-party tracking tools. It may only use cookies or storage that's technically needed for the site to work (for example, remembering your language or protecting the form from spam). If that changes, we'll update this policy.

Children

Our services aren't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child gave us their information, let us know and we'll delete it.

Links to other sites

Our website may link to other sites, such as WhatsApp or insurance company pages. We don't control how they handle your information, so check their privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with its date. If the change is significant, we'll also let you know by email or with a notice on our website.
